The situation surrounding the sowing of spring crops in Mizil and Videle is still very marked by heavy rains over the last several weeks.

However, there has been little pause occasionally so corn planting in Viddele are finished and also 134 HA with sunflower in Mizil , so we now need to sow 100 HA sunflower in Videle – all in “1st years fields” – and 274 HA sunflower in Mizil .

We also managed to make spraying of winter crops in the windows that have been with no rain , so we only have part of oilseed rape area in Mizil where spraying could not be completed as requested.

In Oravita have heavy rain, of course, resulted in gaps in some of the spring crops, but not significantly.

Generally, spring crops germinated really well, obviously with little holes in the ranks due to water accumulation, but not to an alarming extent.

There are today morning sun in Bucharest area, and the forecast is showers today, but after that dry and rising temperatures.

The winter crops are still really good, and is now developing very rapidly, so the rising temperatures and all the water available gives good conditions for filling of the kernels.
