Oravita:In Oravita the situation was becoming critical due water shortages, which began appearing on winter cereals and caused lack of germination in maize , although this was sown in moist soil.It rained with 40 mm in week 16 , which completely changed the picture for the better : it is now estimated that rape and winterbarley can get through to harvest – because the well -developed plants with good root system . Likewise, it meant success with germination in spring crops. The rape started flowering about 2 weeks before last year, and flourish 4 weeks or more. There is still a really nice rape fields everywhere, no signs of insect damage or other negative things.
The wheat is starting germination – but is still dependent on more water in the future – but right now is doing it very well.
Winterbarly, sown rather late, is still nice and early sown field with plant selection barley is also very good .
Al spring sowing has been completed and remaining work in the spring are performed on time.
There are, recent days have been a terrific thunderstorm with lots of rain that washed over the fields and have created lakes in the fields. What effect this has had on the newly sprouted spring crops is of course difficult to determine yet.

Videle:
In Videle there have been very wet for a long time, which has prevented sowing in April. We have still about 340 HA to plant. It has rained until today. However the weather forecast says 8 days without rain. We have experimented with digging trenches, etc. to get the water away, but it´s extremely difficult to go in the fields with machines, so spraying is carried out by forcing sprayer tractor through with great trails to follow.
The winter crops – wheat and rape – still looks really good and feel comfortable with the weather. We have so far succeeded with treatments / fertilizer / sprayer on time.
The “first years fields” with rapeseed look really good, and weed spraying has worked really well.

Rape in Videle May 3
Mizil:
In Mizil is successful in obtaining planted 300 HA spring crops – fortunately these fields are not flooded by the 100 mm of rain that came in a week (16) – and the flooded fields are really close! – So germination here is going, even though there has been even more water the past week.
We still need to plant 400 HA sunflower . The spraying has also been a struggle in the wet fields, we need to have some dry days in order to keep up with the spraying and residual sowing. The winter crops are really good. With the water that has come now to rape and winter barley and wheat may be fine through to harvest, with no prospect of tropical temperatures
The rape started flowering about 1st April and still in full bloom, which is good for the yields. Absolutely no insect damages visible (generally applies to all three sites). The general picture is that there is very moderate temperatures, which is an advantage for the spring crops sown now in May if this continues throughout the spring.
