The Chairmans trip to Romania on 2th – 11. July 2023

12. July 2023

Below some pictures from the chairman’s trip to Romania on 2 – 11 July 2023.

Here pictures from SMI – a company with a farm site and 1,250 ha leases – taken over on 1 February 2023. There is only a small granary here, which is why we have cast a concrete space to store a few days’ harvest. The corn field got off to a good start, but has had almost no water since sowing. If there is no more water now, there will not be much to harvest. The sunflower is currently in bloom, but also lacks water.

The Video below are from Oravita, where there was a torrential downpour on arrival

In Oravita, the corn has grown over our site manager Jan’s head. Sunflowers are doing very well, but due to late sowing are not in flower yet. No crops have lacked water in Oravita, but we could not sow a good 100 ha in time due to too much rainfall, so here there is only a mixed cover crop>

Below some pictures from the buildings in Oravita. The first shows the large white house, where we have an office and guardroom on the ground floor and an apartment on the first floor. The house got a new roof this summer, when the old one fell apart

The pictures below are from Videle, where the rapeseed harvest is underway again after some rain. As the storage capacity here is small, a large concrete space and a rubber goat are a great help when delivering large quantities

In Amaru, the seed plant is in a separate building so that the different crops and varieties can be kept separate. The combine harvesters stood still in Cilibia and waited for it to dry enough after a small rain shower. There are some really nice wheat fields here, but you have to be careful not to harvest with your eyes!
