As Chairman of the Board, I can inform you that we’re following the plan for organisation as announced on 1 June 2016, and that things continue to run satisfactorily in this regard.
We’ve enjoyed a good growing season to date, and if you’ve been keeping tabs on developments on the website, agriinvest.eu, you’ll have seen the pictures to back this up.
This week I’m on a tour of Romania. As a result, I’m happy to provide a provisional status of the harvest, although I must emphasise that it isn’t over yet.
The harvest of rape and wheat began in Videle, where there were problems with moisture content in the rape in around 10% of the area. This was due to the fact that we didn’t get the cultivator until after the rape had been sown. At present, 438 HA rape has been harvested at a yield of 2.8 t/HA and 750 HA wheat at a yield of 6.6 t/HA.
Pictures from Videle:

In Mizil/Amaru, 379 HA rape has been harvested at a yield of 3.7 t/HA and 277 HA wheat at a yield of 6.4 t/HA.
At the Oravita site, 253 HA rape has been harvested at a yield of 4.8 t/HA, 1250 HA wheat at a yield of 7.1 t/HA and 183 HA winter barley at a yield of 5.8 t/HA. All yields are quoted on the basis of the area sown.
